About Angela Gray

Angela Gray is a community-focused organization committed to helping individuals overcome barriers, achieve stability, and build a path toward independent living. We believe that having a safe and supportive environment can be the first step toward a better future. Our programs are designed to provide more than housing—we provide guidance, structure, life-skills education, case management, employment and educational support, and connections to community resources that help participants move forward. Our work focuses on supporting young adults transitioning into independent living, including youth aging out of foster care and individuals facing barriers to stability and successful community reintegration. Through programs such as Bridge to Independence and Clifton's Second Chance Reentry Program, we create opportunities for participants to develop the skills, confidence, and support systems they need to become more self-sufficient. At Angela Gray, we understand that everyone's journey is different. We meet people where they are, encourage accountability, celebrate progress, and help create a realistic pathway toward long-term stability.

Our Mission

Our Mission Angela Gray is committed to helping young adults move from instability to independence by providing safe, supportive housing and the tools needed to build a stronger future. Through transitional housing, life-skills education, individualized case management, employment and educational support, and community resources, we help individuals develop the confidence, stability, and skills necessary to live independently and successfully. Our mission is not simply to provide a place to stay—it is to create a **bridge to a better future**. We believe every young adult deserves an opportunity to rebuild, grow, and move forward with dignity, purpose, and hope.

Our Vision

We envision a community where every young adult has access to safe housing, meaningful support, and a genuine opportunity to build a stable and independent future. Angela Gray strives to create a future where individuals are not defined by their past circumstances, but are empowered to overcome barriers, develop life skills, pursue education and employment, and become self-sufficient members of their communities. Through compassion, accountability, opportunity, and community partnership, we envision stronger individuals, stronger families, and a stronger community where everyone has the opportunity to move forward.

A Story of Two Lives, One Journey, and a Legacy of Hope

In Loving Memory of Angela Gray-Paul & Clifton Paul

Where Their Story Began

Angela Gray-Paul and Clifton Paul's story began at a time when both were facing difficult circumstances in their lives.

Angela experienced homelessness, facing the uncertainty and challenges that come with not having a safe and stable place to call home. During this difficult period, she found herself sitting alone on a park bench, crying and trying to cope with the circumstances surrounding her life.

It was during this difficult moment that Angela met Clifton.

Two Different Struggles

Clifton was also facing his own struggles. As a young person, he experienced incarceration and spent time in a juvenile detention facility, remaining there until he reached the age of 18 and aged out of the system.

His early experiences exposed him to challenges that could have defined the direction of his life.

Instead, their meeting became the beginning of a journey that would change both of their lives.

Two people who had experienced very different struggles—Angela facing homelessness and Clifton facing incarceration as a young person—found strength, companionship, and hope in one another.

Building a Life Together

Their relationship grew, and eventually Angela and Clifton married. Together, they built a family and had two children, a daughter and a son.

They also built something together professionally, becoming entrepreneurs and establishing their own construction company.

Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, they created a life and a future for their family.

More Than Their Circumstances

Their journey was not defined by the hardships they experienced. It was defined by what they did with those experiences.

Angela's experience with homelessness gave her a firsthand understanding of how important safe housing, stability, compassion, and opportunity can be to someone trying to rebuild their life.

Clifton's experiences with incarceration as a young person gave him a firsthand understanding of the challenges that young people can face when they become involved with the justice system and how difficult it can be to find a path forward.

Together, their lives became a story of second chances, family, perseverance, and transformation.

The Legacy Behind the Mission

The Angela Gray Non-Profit carries forward the spirit of their journey by creating opportunities for individuals who are facing barriers of their own.

Their story reminds us that a person's circumstances do not have to determine their future.

Someone experiencing homelessness can find stability.

Someone who has experienced incarceration can rebuild.

Someone who has struggled can find purpose.

And someone who has been given a second chance can use that opportunity to create something meaningful.
